This museum was inaugurated at the end of 2013. As one of this municipality’s main economic activities is honey production and for years has held a successful honey fair (FIVAMEL), the launching of a museum dedicated to the world of apiculture was deemed appropriate. The Museu Valencià d'Etnologia has provided its expertise right from the start for the creation this new cultural infrastructure.
